Burton Gets Air, Wins Bristol
By Juice Staff
Jeff Burton scored his first victory at Bristol Motor Speedway and the first win of the season for Chevrolet, leading teammates Kevin Harvick and Clint Bowyer to the first 1-2-3 sweep.
Said Burton:
“We did the little things right. That’s the sign that this team’s matured. That’s the sign of a team that’s ready to take advantage of situations. I won’t lose sleep tonight because somebody says, ‘We had a faster car.’

Jeffy Gordon: Stewart’s a Meany
By Juice Staff
Alright, the tires sucked at Atlanta. We all know Goodyear didn’t perform. But was it necessary to bash them like Tony Stewart did, calling the tires, “the most pathetic racing tire I’ve ever been on in my professional career.”
Said Jeffy Gordon about the tantrum:
“I think he went a little overboard. He kind of made it personal.”

Tony Stewart: Goodyear Tires are Pathetic
By Juice Staff
Dale Jr., Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon and many others ripped Goodyear a new asshole did not have nice things to say about their tires.
Said Smoke about the tires for the race:
“That’s the worse tire I’ve been on in my life in any professional form of racing. Look at when they exited Formula One and the IRL and CART and World of Outlaws, USAC, you name it, because they can’t compete, they can’t keep up, they don’t have the technology and they don’t have the people smart enough to build a tire. This was pathetic today.”

We’ve Got Busch……a Victory!
By Juice Staff

First for Toyota, first for Kyle Busch this season in the Sprint Cup Series.
When Carl Edwards, who had the best car on the track, left the race on Lap 274 with mechanical failure, Busch took control. The track was slick and brutal but the once reckless driver looked skillful and tamed.
Said Screech Busch about the track:
“It feels like you are driving on ice. My hands are so sore right now. You are such on edge.”

Nice race, Kyle. You’re still the nerdiest looking driver on the circuit! YEAH!

Kobalt Tools 500 Today Y’all!
By Daytuna
The haulers are ready to BOOGITY!!!
We’re Live at the Atlanta Motor Speedway for the Kobalt Tools 500, the third of three consecutive races on intermediate tracks. Atlanta has a higher degree of banking than the Auto Club Speedway or Las Vegas Motor Speedway, where the drivers raced the past two weeks.
Atlanta is reputed as one of the fastest tracks on the Sprint Cup circuit. Qualifying speeds border on 200 mph. Drivers often run “wide-open,” never using the brakes. Horsepower is a must to have a chance to win, but holding the throttle down and running high RPMs can be hard on engines. Length: 1.54 miles
Shape: Tri-oval
Banking: 24 degrees

Kenseth Wins Nationwide, Loves Pussy
By Juice Staff
Matt Kenseth broke an 18-race winless string Saturday by capturing a Nationwide Series event at Atlanta.
Kenseth grabbed the lead from Jeff Burton on the way to victory.
Kyle Busch led 153 of the first 170 laps before blowing a tire and hitting the wall. That left the battle to Kenseth, Burton and Kevin Harvick. It took a two-lap overtime shootout for Kenseth to earn his first Nationwide win since last April in Texas.

By Juice Staff
Jeff Gordon, despite a sore body, won the pole for the NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Carl Cheated. Fined Big Time.
By Juice Staff
On Wednesday, NASCAR said Carl Edwards’ Las Vegas victory was because of a rigged oil tank. Edwards was docked 100 points — knocking him out of first place — and stripped of the 10 bonus points he earned for the win.
In addition to Edwards’ penalty, crew chief Bob Osborne was fined $100,000 and suspended six weeks, and Jack Roush was docked 100 owner points.
During his celebratory backflip off his car, a picture showed the oil tank cover not attached to the oil tank. By opening up the oil tank trunk, the air is able to circulate through the car and create as much as 10 percent more downforce.
